This segment, at the southern end of Central Eastside, is defined by the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI), one downtown Portland major regional attractions. The loop winds through the transit station at the east end of the Tilikum Crossing first, before briefly touching the OMSI campus and climbing onto a new bridge across the Union Pacific Railroad. This part of Central Eastside features a variable street grid and larger blocks, and the railroad itself cuts it off from the rest of the district, enabling this portion to feel more oriented to the south and Willamette River to the west.
